Thursday Fun: Anita Goodman/Varla Jean/Sing & Sling and TWO kinds of “Pop”…

It's Thursday...go out and DO STUFF!!!

A huge variety of events for this lovely Thursday in April and several of them are ACTUALLY variety shows…Cute!

The lovely drag chanteuse and performer Anita Goodman is offering up some relief for impending Tax Day woes…you can take your mind off filling out those nasty forms and head to the Jewelbox at the Rendezvous for a night of variety entertainment with a terrific line up:

This episode Anita and Cassie deal with the challenges of paying their Federal Income Tax, including facing a relentless auditor from the newly-created IRS-TSA, complete with body scans, a high-flying couple with a few sexual hangups to go with their membership in the “mile-high club,” song satire with Miss Gams Galore, a comedic Burlesque performance, and the return of our favorite supporting character, Mr. Gary Gloryhole!

Featuring the comedic talents of Jet City Improv’s Andrew McMasters, Josh Hartvigson (Dr. Frank N. Furter in Open Circle’s “Rocky Horror Show”, Brendan Mack (The Jack and Wood Show), comedienne Jennifer Parker, singer Gams Galore, with Brandi the Prize Girl, and starring drag queens Miss Anita Goodmann and Miss Cassie O’Hara, with burlesque by Holly Lets-em Downlightly.

There’s even MORE variety show hijinks going on at Re-bar courtesy of our friend, the gender bending performance artist and producer known as EmpeROAR Fabulous!!! as he presents “Sing and Sling: A Musical Burlesque Show” tonight at 8pm with a zexy line up of performers:

I’ve promoted the wonderful Varla Jean Merman’s show, “The Book of Merman” quite a LOT this week so I won’t dwell too much on it, but if you haven’t seen Ms Merman live, you really ought to…she’s amazingly funny. She’s clocking in to Julia’s on Broadway TONIGHT for one night only and you really shouldn’t miss her. Tickets available HERE! (Pssst: SGS is going tonight…sit near us and we can squeal together!)
