HEY! Pride isn’t just all about party twinks, muscle bears and drag queens parading around gettin’ drunk in corporate sponsored beer gardens! It’s also a time for FAMILIES to gather together pridefully in corporate sponsored pride picnics in public parks!
Yes, it’s already time for the annual Seattle Out & Proud PRIDE PICNIC presented by BECU which is going down this coming Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 11am to 4pm. It’s a rare bit of fun that EVERYONE can enjoy…grab the kids and your favorite Tranma! There’s food, entertainment and enough ants to devour a Smithfield ham. Here’s the skinny:

I hope you noted that Seattle Gay Scene is now a sponsor…apparently, we’ve joined the mainstream and we’re being embraced by the gay power brokers. (That, or they’ve lost their minds and the pigs have started flying and Hell is freezing over…) But, all kidding aside, we’re thrilled to team up with our friends at Seattle Out & Proud to present this event. Boozy events tend to dominate the LGBTQ social world, so it really is a good thing to also support booze-free, family friendly events as well. Not everyone in our Rainbow colored world drinks Fireball shots at 1am while wearing a jock strap and glitter pasties.
