Last Call For “Down n’ Dirty” At The Baltic Room

June 24, 2013• bySeattle Gay Scene

downndirtylegends

Arden and Jimmy, our friends at Sinfinite Events have announced that this Thursday’s “Down n’ Dirty” will be the final night for the popular Thursday event at The Baltic Room. The duo have had much success with both that club and that night; they debuted “ElektroPop!” with hostess Mama Tits there nearly two years ago at the venue, which usually caters to a crowd of the heterosexual persuasion, and the success of that event proved a couple things. One, you CAN produce viable events on a Thursday night, and, secondly, non-traditional clubs can also queer themed events.

ElektroPop faded away late last year, (only to be resurrected as a monthly event, just this last weekend, and at Fred Wildlife Refuge) and was replaced by DOWN N’ DIRTY, a very similar par-tay but with a new host, Robbie Turner and an even twinkier crowd. Arden & Jimmy want to focus on the new ElektroPop, and the upcoming Seattle Red Dress Party and creating new events, so they’ve decided to lay “DnD” to rest.

But, they want to go out with a Gang Bang, so Thursday’s swan song is a tribut to…LEGENDS…check out the press release:

A night of drinking, dancing, and unparalleled drag impersonation featuring special guest performances from:

Jaxen Brown as Cher (www.facebook.com/jaxen.brown)

Gabriela Sanchez Samano as Celine Dion (www.facebook.com/gabriela.s.samano)

Andrew Scott as Janet Jackson (www.facebook.com/andrew.scott.90813236)

Drew Paradisco as Madonna (www.facebook.com/DrewParadisco)

and Down N Dirty hostess Robbie Turner as Kylie Minogue (www.facebook.com/RobbieTurnerOnstage)

Performances will also include dancers from Seattle’s NEW premier male review “THE BUCKAROOS,” who will also be gogo dancing at the event and seducing attendees with their ever-so handsome charm. For more information on The Buckaroos and their upcoming run of shows at the Triple Door visit:www.BuckaroosUSA.com

Music for the evening will be provided by Down N Dirty resident DJ BRET LAW with a happy hour set from 9p-10p by DJ PBear.

Doors open at 9:00PM – FREE COVER BEFORE 10PM

So, it’s adios to DOWN N DIRTY…and, we’ve heard rumors about what’s going to replace it; yes, it will be homosexually inclined, but our lips are sealed…

For now…
