Help Make The Jinkx Monsoon Feature Documentary A Reality!

Jinkx Monsoon in the original episode of “Drag Becomes Him” which is now raising funds to be developed into a feature film.

We announced it a couple months ago…local filmmaker/producer Basil Shadid was teaming up with filmmaker Alex Berry and our very own drag superstar Jinkx Monsoon (aka multi-talented actor Jerick Hoffer) to turn their “Drag Becomes Him” series of short films into a feature length film. Alex and Jinkx began the series before she appeared on season five of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” the drag reality series on Logo TV that Jinkx ended up winning in May of 2013. Subsequently, Alex and Jinkx filmed an additional 4 installments of “Drag Becomes Him” to increasing acclaim and prompts from fans to turn the series into a feature film.

That dream is turning into reality and now YOU can help make it happen. The Kickstarter campaign for “Drag Becomes Him: The Feature” begins TODAY, Tuesday, February 11, 2014 and all of Jinkx’s fans have an opportunity to become a part of this exciting project which is tentatively scheduled for release in the summer of 2014. You have a month to help this dream become a reality. Ms Monsoon is currently in the Land Down Under (aka Australia) performing her hit stage show THE VAUDEVILLIANS and will be returning stateside in March to continue work on this project leading up to the May crowning of the NEXT winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”. DRAG BECOMES HIM continues it’s intimate look at the life and work of Jinkx Monsoon. New footage includes childhood memories, family conversations, international tour footage, the making of a music video, thoughts on winning RuPaul’s Drag Race, life on the road, and life in drag.

It’s gonna be a FRANK and OPEN look at Jinkx/Jerick’s experiences becoming America/The World’s Next Drag Superstar and 1st Internationally renowned “Dragtress”. In other words, IT GONNA BE JUICY and TEA WILL BE SPILLED!

(And, the soundtrack will feature music from Jinkx’s upcoming album!)
