The dance/theater/comedy company GENDER TENDER will be performing at the closing event for MO WAVE 2014 on Friday, April 18, 2014.

It was a long, long weekend at Chop Suey for fans of MO WAVE, the big queer music & arts festival that was headquartered at the venue Friday, Saturday and Sunday with headliners Christeene, Zebra Katz, and Justin Vivian Bond pluz dozens of other musical acts from the region and around the country. By all accounts, Friday night’s show with Christeene seems to have been the biggest hit but enthusiastic crowds showed up all three days.

Mr. Strangeways popped by Sunday night to check out CARLETTA SUE KAY and Mx Bond…both were amazing. The hardcore gender blendy, arty farty queer community were out in force and very excited and appreciative about the festival. It seems to have been a huge success and congrats to all for a job well done.

But, it’s not quite finished. This Friday, April 18, 2014 the festival wraps it up with a dance/theater show at Velocity Dance Center, 1621 12th Avenue at Capitol Hill that’s more theater and dance oriented than the this weekend’s performances at Chop Suey. More info:
