Ian Bell’s Brown Derby Players have decided to dip into their vaults for their next public skewering of Pop Kulture. Normally the Re-bar based troupe of actors parody popular films of the last 30 years or so but a few years back, they did tip their toes into a trashing of musician R. Kelly’s magnum opus, “Trapped In The Closet (Chapters 1-12)”, the nutty “Hip-Hopera” that polarized fans of the R&B artist. Was it cray-cray or crazily brilliant? Or, a bit of both?
The gigantic cast for this show includes a lot of very talented folks:
Featuring: Ian Bell, Scott Shoemaker, Adé A. Cônnère, Joe Randazzo, Evan Mosher, David Gehrman, Josh Hartvigson, Cory Nealy, Erin Stewart, Imogen Love, Todd LaTodd and Many More!
It opens Thursday, June 5 for a typical three night run (Fri/Sat) with doors at 7 pm and show at 8 pm. No advance tickets; CASH only ($20) at the door, 21 + w/ID!
Many Brown Derby shows sell out or get damn close…to make sure you get the seat you want, get there earlier rather than later!!!
