That’s our Mama….
Seattle’s craziest drag diva pulled off the mother of all publicity coups. She married this ADORABLY cute gay military couple at the top of the Space Needle last Saturday…DRESSED in her iconic Space Needle dress she debuted two years ago at Seattle Pride.
Naturally, the press has been eating it up…though all that attention also sadly brings out lots of haters in the comments. We’re still not sure how same sex marriage is destroying “traditional” opposite sex marriage…they were doing a pretty good job of it themselves!
Here’s some poo on the ceremony from Q13.com:
Last weekend Dustin Stersic married his partner Andrew Malone in a ceremony performed on the Observation Deck of the Space Needle by local drag queen ‘Mama‘ dressed as the Space Needle.
Both Andrew and Dustin are active servicemen based in Tokyo, Japan.
The couple was on leave and decided Seattle was the best place for them to tie the knot — even though they’ve never been here before.
Apparently, you can’t write “Tits” on a website…
The article also reveals a new wedding promotion for Seattle conceived by a partnership between Visit Seattle and the GSBA. It’s called “Marry Me in Seattle” and it includes tons of info on how same sex couples can come to Seattle to be married. There’s also free giveaways for some lucky couples. Check it OUT!
And, that gorgy photo is by Tim Durkan. He and Mama’s husband DJ were the witnesses to the wedding.
You can also hire Mama to marry you. Check out all of Mama’s entertainment options including her standing room only drag brunch show, “Mimosas with Mama” and next Friday’s “T-Shack Show w/Heklina” over at her website.
And, knowing Mama, she’s probably working on a plan to grant gay divorces, too!
Here Comes da Judge Mama….
