Trenton Garris, a beloved member of Seattle’s LGBTQ community died Monday, March 2, 2015 in Tucson, Arizona where he had recently moved. Trenton was adored by many people for many reasons…his warm, welcoming personality….his smile….his compassion for animals….his sense of humor….his unique charisma and natural talent to be all things to all people.

A Seattle memorial service is scheduled to be held at Golden Gardens Park in Ballard on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 3pm at Shelter #2.  All friends, family and fans of Trenton are invited to attend.

Here’s Trenton in a funny but poignant episode of the webseries “drunk. naked. love”. Trenton also appeared in the locally made queer indie films, “heart breaks open”and “R/Evolve”, where he much enjoyed playing a cop for a day….and, running around Capitol Hill all night after the filming, playing “Hot Cop”.

A toast to Trenton Garris.

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
