Are you a student (of any age) who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer seeking financial aid to attend post secondary (college, university, trade school, certification)? For that matter, are you a strong out ALLY of LGBTQ people? If you can answer yes to these queries, you should be filling out your application NOW to apply for scholarships from the Pride Foundation and the Greater Seattle Business Association. These two great groups have teamed up to make is easier for students to apply for 50 different scholarships with ONE web application.
The GSBA is one of the oldest LGBTQ groups in Seattle, that has provided scholarships for students while advocating for LGBTQ businesses in the Greater Seattle area. Pride Foundation, (which has NOTHING to do with producing yearly pride celebrations in Seattle or anywhere; many people confuse them with Seattle Pride or Seattle Pridefest) is “a regional community foundation serving the Northwest region of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington” dedicated to educating, informing and supporting LGBTQ communities and leaders.
You have until January 12, 2018 to apply. Here’s a ton more info with links to get you started.
