The shocking Seattle nightlife news of the day is the poo that Foundation Nightclub has lost its liquor license after it was raided Wednesday night. Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board suspended the club’s license for 6 months following the raid and arrest of at least two Foundation employees on drug charges.
The popular EDM club located in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood is predominately a venue popular with straight EDM fans, but has hosted gay produced events including a 2018 Pride party for Verotica Events.
A 6 month liquor license suspension will make it problematic for the venue to remain open.
There’s some irony in the fact that the club was hosting its weekly Wednesday night event at the time of the raid…
The weekly event was named “SUBstance”.
