Yes…you heard that right! The deliciously macabre true story of Lizzie Borden the accused axe wielding murderess of her father and stepmonster in 1892 in Fall River, Massachusetts is coming to Broadway Performance Hall for TWO weekends…in a rock musical form! “Lizzie” actually got its start out at Village Theatre as part of its annual New Works Festival and it’s quietly become a fun, go to musical for theater companies looking for something different to stage. Seattle’s Pullman vs Paxton theater company is always looking for something unique to stage so they’re thrilled to present this “ferocious, femme-fronted rock musical LIZZIE at Broadway Performance Hall (1625 Broadway), running September 27-October 5, 2024 as a benefit for Legal Voice.”

EVERYTHING you need to know about the show:
“It’s a crime scene. It’s a nightmare. It’s a bloodbath. It’s a fright… But it’s just us girls in the House of Borden.” Pullman.vs.Paxton Productions, announces four nights of FUN and FURY in the ferocious, femme-fronted rock musical LIZZIE at Broadway Performance Hall (1625 Broadway), running September 27-October 5, 2024 as a benefit for Legal Voice.
In the dog days of 1892, Lizzie Borden took an ax…and, well, you know the rest. Muckraking journalists made her a bicoastal media legend overnight. An all-out spectacle, the show’s provocative delivery oozes attitude and simmering tension with a kinetic urgency that hums under the surface. Using a gasoline-soaked rock score, and based on the historical record, LIZZIE explores the strange alchemy leading up to the murders, Lizzie’s controversial acquittal of all charges, and the creation of a new American myth.
We want to pay homage to this living, breathing piece of history all while putting our own stamp on it. How could we resist? P.V.P’s LIZZIE is like an old school revenge flick meets rock n’ roll opera. I can talk your ear off about the deep cultural commentary and nuance on gender this show has to offer, but are we gonna Gallagher style smash a watermelon full of blood with an ax? You betcha.“
The cast of Pullman.vs.Paxton’s LIZZIE includes some fresh faces in Seattle theater: Katrina Rose Agnew as Lizzie Borden, Noah Filistowicz (he/them) as Emma Borden, Kaelyn Langer-Mendonca as Bridget Sullivan, and Amy Lambert as Alice Russell.
