Very sad news today as word spread that community member and legendary drag performer, producer, and mentor ROXY DOLL passed away last night at the age of 57. Reports indicate she died in her sleep, Tuesday, June 24th.
Social media is currently swamped with tributes from her many friends, allies, co-workers, and family members. Roxy had worked and performed at many LGBTQ venues in Seattle over the years, but she was best known for her many many years at Neighbours including spending the last few years as its general manager. She was credited for saving Neighbours, after it had been heavily vandalized during the Covid shutdown period, spending a lot of time and energy at getting the long time venue back in shape.
But, Roxy is probably best known as the creator/host/producer of The Dollhouse, her talent show where she mentored hundreds of young Seattle performers and gave them their first chances to hone their crafts on a Seattle stage. And, it wasn’t just young baby drag queens and kings she encouraged; she welcomed performers from all kinds of backgrounds, including burlesque.
This week’s special Pride Week edition of The Dollhouse was to feature a rare performance from Roxy…her family at Neighbours vows the show will go this Thursday, June 26th, and encourage folks to come and help them pay tribute to the great community leader and friend, Roxy Doll. There’s also plans in the works for future memorial services for Roxy as well.
Finally, a toast to Ms Roxy Doll. Salud, kind diva.

We are devastated to share the sudden passing of Roxy Doll, our long-time General Manager and a beloved part of our Neighbours family.
Roxy wasn’t just part of this venue, she was its heart. For years, she gave new artists a stage, welcomed everyone with open arms, and created a safe, vibrant space for our community.
Her passion, generosity, and spirit shaped Neighbours into what it is today, and her absence will be deeply felt by everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
Our thoughts and love go out to Roxy’s family, friends, and the countless people whose lives she touched.
She will forever be a part of our story.
With heavy hearts,
TJ & The Neighbours Family
