Kitsap Shows Its Pride This Weekend!

July 14, 2025• byMichael Strangeways

Kitsap County is showing its LGBTQ+ Pride the weekend of July 18th through the 20th with a whole slew of fun events including a special party on a naval ship, a big festival and a huge drag brunch! And, it’s all under the umbrella of this year’s Kitsap Pride theme….UNITE!

More:

The theme for the 29th annual Kitsap Pride Festival, Unite, reflects our mission to celebrate, support, and unite the LGBTQIA+ community in Kitsap County. In a world facing uncertainty, Unite serves as a call to come together, build connections, and stand in solidarity. We believe that by fostering unity, we strengthen not only our community but also the resilience and hope within us all. On July 19, 2025, we invite everyone to join us at the festival to embrace diversity, share joy, and affirm that we are stronger together. Let’s celebrate who we are and the power of unity, because in uncertain times, coming together is more important than ever.”

In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
