(The “40s” are scary but a piece of cake compared to FIFTY!)
The BigAss Day is finally here as Seattle celebrates its 40th LGBTQ Pride celebration all OVER the city but concentrating on this mornings Seattle Pride Parade along 4th Avenue in downtown Seattle from Union to Denny Way, then Seattle PrideFest happening all afternoon at Seattle Center.
Things have already kicked off as the official sold out Seattle Pride Brunch featuring celebrity grand marshal George Takei is currently underway followed by the pre-show party at Westlake hosted by DonnaTella Howe at 10pm. The parade itself starts at 11am with reviewing stands and hosts at:
Westlake Park — Mama Tits and Sylvia O’Stayformore
Fourth & Bell (Beer Garden)— Sarah Rudinoff and Cherry Sur Bête
Fourth & Denny — The Seattle Lesbian hosts with Sarah Toce and Chris Kauffman
The parade winds up at Seattle Center at the gates of PrideFest and a day of live entertainment on three stages with that all wrapping up tonight for the Closing Concert with Chely Wright and Steve Grand.
Meanwhile, back on Capitol Hill, the big parties are the two outdoor street festivals at The Wildrose (11th & Pike) and at The Cuff (13th & Pine) with many smaller events at most bars on the Hill.
