Yeah, we’re chilly, too and desperate for a little warmth. If Mother Nature isn’t going to help us out this Memorial Day Weekend then we’ll have to take it upon ourselves to generate some heat and there’s a couple manly man events this Sunday, May 29 to help us out. Lobby Bar hosts Lobby BEAR 8 from 4pm to 8pm with a special emphasis on Lambert House:
This time – we’re doing a benefit for Lambert House. I’ll have the requisite scantily-clad, hunky guy selling inseam raffle tickets for fabulous prizes, with all proceeds going to Lambert House. As this is a 3-day weekend, I’ll expect a HUGE turnout. $3.00 wells, pints and wine AND free bear snacks! Bring your cash as it is for a great cause. Come and enjoy yourselves – be you bear or bear-friendly. Bring your cash!! Remember: it’s for the children!
Raffle tickets are 5 bucks per inseam and prizes include gift certificates to Doghouse Leathers, tickets to RED with DJ Brian Gorr, t-shirts from Ajaxx63 and more!
After hanging with the big hearted bears at Lobby, head to Neighbours Underground for GRIND, the Memorial Day weekend party being put on by Two Knights Events. Pump up your blood and raise the roof to DJs SpaceOtter and George Delmar. Entry is free from 7pm to 9pm (with plenty of drink specials for the early birds), and only $5 after. And, since many of y’all don’t have to work Monday, why not stay up late? (Bloggers work 24/7…no rest for the house bound.)
But, don’t forget to go visit your departed friends and relatives at area cemeteries…after all, that’s what Memorial Day is about. Not freezing to death while attempting to BBQ or go hiking.
