HUGE variety of entertainment options for tonight…something for EVERYONE. We’ve already mentioned Bearracuda at The Seattle Eagle and Grease at The Paramount Theatre…here’s some OTHER options for those seeking fun in the drizzle.
For Lovers of Burlesque you have the option of honoring the Queen of Burlesque, Miss Gypsy Rose Lee herself, on the 100th Anniversary of her birth. Yes, Rose Louise Hovick was born 100 years ago TODAY (January 8, 1911) right here in Seattle ! That was 20 years before her transformation into GYPSY Rose Lee and an amazing career that lasted until her death in 1970. Tonight, Seattle’s own Paula, the Swedish Housewife will honor the one and only Gypsy with a very special show at The Triple Door she’s calling The Gypsy Rose Lee Centennial which will feature some amazing talent including:
The night will feature performances by two-time Miss Exotic World title winner Catherine D’Lish, 77-year Legend of Burlesque Joan Arline, Seattle’s finest Lily Verlaine, Nick Garrison, Miss Inga Ingenue, a reading from the new biography of Gypsy by author Karen Abbott, “American Rose” by actress Sarah Rudinoff, a video presentation created JUST for this event by Deirdre Timmons, director of “A Wink and a Smile” with support of author Karen Abbott. The entire evening will be hosted by Miss Astrid.
Tickets STILL available for this one night only event. Definitely worth a check out.
