The Pacific Northwest’s big voiced Princess of Pop, Beth Ditto has been a busy little queen bee. The lead singer of The Gossip, the current toast of the UK/Europe, fashion maven…the amazing Ms Ditto always has a lot on her plate, (no, I’m not being catty; we loves our big gal friends…) She’s added even more, with the upcoming release of her first solo EP on March 8 and the first single and video are online. “I Wrote the Book” features the diva in full Madonna mode…it’s a sexy little song and the black and white video complete with vogueing male dancers is more than just a little bit of a hommage to the Material One’s “Vogue” or “Express Yourself”. It’s pretty awesome and Beth looks damn good in this video…the hair and make-up are ZEXXXXXY and she even gets a sultry bathtub scene.
We love her.
