R Place just announced on their Facebook page that beloved RuPaul Drag Race Season Two contestant, Pandora Boxx will be returning to Seattle for a two night gig, April 22 & 23. If you can remember that far back, the lovely comedienne last visited Seattle in October of 2010 for multiple appearances, including a show at the Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival. (Go HERE for SGS coverage of her previous visit.) The popular entertainer from Rochester, New York earned legions of national fans following her stint on Season Two of RuPaul’s Drag Race with her sharp wit and expert comedy skills including a hilarious impersonation of Broadway Legend, Carol Channing. Ms Boxx, aka, Michael Steck, was eliminated from that season in a controversial decision that angered fans, but she rebounded to win “Miss Congeniality” for that season, as well as earning numerous appearances on the “Drag Race” spin-off show, RuPaul’s Drag U. (And, we’re dying to ask Ms Boxx if she’ll be back for Season Two of Drag U which begins filming soon…)
Tickets for the Pandora Boxx shows at R Place go on sale this coming Monday, March 14. We’ll keep you posted with the link when it’s released.
