Stuff To Do, Saturday 8/6/11: Jockstraps & Glitter/Chi Chi’s Beach Party/Saturday Night Beaver Bacon Edition

Today you have options gayer than a box of unicorn glitter…let’s get to it.

It’s for a great cause, and who doesn’t love seeing manly queer nuns playing kickball with manly queer jocks? Yep, it’s the 2nd annual “Jockstraps & Glitter” charity kickball game at Miller Playfield (19th Ave E & E Thomas) starting at 5pm. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence-Abbey of St. Joan and the Seattle Quake Rugby team face off; winner takes ALL! Come, spend some money and help them raise money for the Sisters’ Charity Grant Fund. Also, pay tribute to the nun who organized it all, the late great Sister Karma Za Betch!

The unofficial after party for Jockstraps & Glitter is Beach Party at The Cuff Complex with very special guest DJ, Chi Chi LaRue! Here’s some skinny on that event from James Dunagan, Washington State Mr. Leather 2011:

Hey all,
Just a reminder that tonight is the “Beach Party” at The Cuff in Seattle featuring DJ and Porn Diva Chi Chi LaRue!!!
The outdoor patio has been transformed into a “real” beach complete with tiki bar and sand!
Remember to wear your sexiest swim attire (there will be a clothes check to keep your outer wear safe for the night).
Enter the best swim suit competition on the “beach” at 12:30 with cash prizes provided by Doghouse Leathers.
Buy your raffle tickets from our hot vollunteers for some great prize packages. Need not be present to win!
And finally, we will be serving up frozen blended drinks out on the beach featuring the new Blueberry Bacardi.
All proceeds will benefit two great charities….Seattle Counseling Service and Chicken Soup Brigade.

We’ll see you all there and lets raise tons of cash for these two charities. But most of all, have a great time and dance your asses off!!!!

AND, another option for nighttime fun is “Saturday Night Beaver” Bacon Strip, the monthly variety show hosted by Sylvia O’Stayformore at Re-bar with doors open at 10pm and show at 10:30pm. Join Sylvia and the usual gang of talented misfits including the divine Maxine Delacunt, Jinkx Monsoon, OtterPop!, The Darlings, Disgrace Jones, Honey Bucket, Ursula Major and Cherry Sur Bete for a night of naughty fun. And, this month’s theme promises a wealth of opportunities for Disco flavored perversion…who doesn’t enjoy a little Beaver flavored Bacon?

Other awesome options include Lick! at Chop Suey, Fur Zone at The Seattle Eagle and the usual round of drinkies, dancing and debauchery at every other queer flavored venue in town, all of us hoping that a drunken Blue Angel pilot will stumble in to be ravished on the pinball machine.
