“Mimosas With Mama” Busts A Move…To The Unicorn/Narwhal

Unicorn’s sexy basement extension Narwhal is the new home for “Mimosas with Mama” beginning May 26, 2013.

One of the sad fall outs from the closure of The Grill on Broadway last month, (other than the loss of a Capitol Hill institution and the fact 30+ people lost their jobs) was the displacement of several popular entertainment options including The Grill’s Open Mic night, Sylvia O’Stayformore’s “Bacon Strip” and the weekly “Mimosas with Mama”, the Sunday drag brunch produced by and starring Mama Tits. The Bacon Strip Crew is still making their plans, but Mama Tits, aka Brian Daniel Peters has announced this morning that “Mimosas” has found a new home for their draggy/eggy shenanigans…the popular hipster hangout, the carnival themed Unicorn on Pike Street, or, more accurately, Unicorn’s little sister Narwhal located on the lower level of the bar complex.

Skyscraper Entertainment Presents: “Mimosas with Mama” Featuring 30min. Hairspray, Seattle’s longest running and #1 weekly Drag Brunch Starting May 26th 2013 in our NEW HOME, The Unicorn/ Narwhal!!

“Mimosas with Mama” is Seattle’s Longest Running and #1 Weekly Drag Brunch, unfortunately on April 28th 2013, our home venue closed its doors for good and we were left homeless! Needless to say we packed up our drag, grabbed our wigs and hit the road to find a new home! After many meetings, long discussions and searching high and low we have found an amazing cabaret space that is perfect for us! We are pleased to announce our new home is located at The Unicorn/ Narwhal on Pike St between 11th and 12th, keeping us in the heart of The Capitol Hill neighborhood we know and LOVE!

Think of “Mimosas with Mama” as dinner theater during the day, it’s Brunch Theater! We have a breakfast buffet, The Unicorn/ Narwhal Brunch Menu, a full bar, JELL-O shots and Drag Queens, what more could you ask for on a Sunday? Let the cast of “Mimosas with Mama” take you on a crazy, wild, fun journey you never knew you wanted to go on. Its comedy, lip syncing, live singing, performance art, audience participation, great food, fabulous drinks and Fierce Queens all rolled up into 1 fabulous show! Plus “Mimosas with Mama” has gone over the top with the recent addition of “30min Hairspray”!

“Mimosas” will debut at their new space on Sunday, May 26 with doors open at 12:30pm and the show at 1:30pm. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door for the show itself. Food/drink are available from the bar…and, the show is strictly 21+ . Advance tickets are available at Brown Paper Tickets. For those of you unaware, Unicorn/Narwhal is located at 1118 East Pike Street on Capitol Hill…just follow the trail of 23 year old hipsters and the scent of herb, and you’ll find it!
