Copious Love Production’s “TOTAL FAMILY MASSAGE” is a queer holiday musical for the entire family…over the age of 18, and runs through Dec 29 at the Eclectic Theatre on Capitol Hill. John Paul Sharp pictured above, stars in and created the production.

They had us at the name of the show: TOTAL FAMILY MASSAGE is a pretty horrifying title for anything. It’s the name of a brand new show from the folks at Copious Love Productions, the queer theater company that enjoys pushing the envelopes of good taste and edging us into the abyss of horrified laughter.

But, what’s TOTAL FAMILY MASSAGE all about, you ask?

STRONG SEXUAL CONTENT AND DRUG REFERENCES!

Copious Love Productions continues to concentrate on producing, writing, and directing original work for theatre. Our third and final show of Season 2 is John Paul Sharp’s “Total Family Massage: The Musical!”, an adult queer-centered holiday comedy.

David and Marquis have just gotten married and are having a small reception with David’s family in their Capitol Hill apartment in Seattle. David’s father, Jerald, a highly entrepreneurial erotic masseur in his 70’s from Wichita, Kansas, reveals in his toast that he has sold his house and is planning on staying in Seattle to open up business with his son. David’s mother Marie, a Southern Baptist busybody, can’t believe what she’s hearing. And when Jeremy, David’s psychic nephew, arrives unannounced, all hell breaks loose as their relationships unravel, heal, and move forward. It’s a feel-good holiday show that will make you laugh and cry and laugh and cry again.
