PrideFest, the producers of Seattle Pride Weekend’s Festival at Seattle Center, have finally started releasing the first wave of names who will be appearing on some of their many stages on Pride Sunday, June 28, 2015. They’ve only released the names of SEVEN of the eventual 100+ performers and artists who will take over but the ones they’ve let us know about, are CHOICE!
Depending on how you look at her, she’s either a Fan Favorite, or, “One You Love To Hate”. From Season 3 (and 2!!!) of RuPaul’s Drag Race, it’s the notorious SHANGELA, who will be headlining at the Main Stage. She might have been a trouble maker on TV, but in reality, this diva is a consummate comedian and performer who still performs gigs all over the world. Despite a nasty injury a couple years ago, the hi-energy fireball from Paris, Texas is back in form and ready to “Death Drop” her way into your hearts for Pride 2015.
Local fan favorites, FLY MOON ROYALTY, aka Adra Boo and DJ/Producer/Emcee Action J will also take to the Main Stage for a set that day. More Main Stage performers will be announced soon.
The biggest amount of names released were for the VERY popular DJ Stage, which grows in popularity every year and has become the signature party of PrideFest. Two big DJs set to perform: hometown favorite JULIE HERRERA and from LA, DJ KIM ANH. Coming up from Portland, the glammy/punky/funky dance party collective BLOW PONY will host a set on the DJ Stage. AAAAAAAAND, hipper than thou hosts and party producers THE BOULET BROTHERS will also take over the stage for a fabulous tour of duty that will hopefully duplicate their famous party events like DRAGULA and BEARDO WEIRDO.
Finally, over at the more intimate Mural Stage, Brooklyn based hot daddy/cub rapper BIG DIPPER makes a return visit to Seattle after wowing us previously at ‘Mo Wave.
Stay tuned for MORE big news from PrideFest 2015 at Seattle Gay Scene….’cause you sure as hell won’t find it in the “official” Gay Pride Guide put out by Seattle Pride (the parade people; not the PrideFest people, who know what THEY’RE doing!) and published by the FAMOUSLY beloved non-gay outlet CITY Arts, which went to press WEEKS ago and won’t appear until June 1.
HOW USEFUL!!!!
