Singer/comedian Lisa Koch celebrates her brand spankin’ new 5th solo release “Enjoy the Ride” with a CD release party at the Triple Door June 14. June 14 is Flag Day…and the day that bourbon was invented. Also the day when women first got the vote in Norway. Plus the birthday of Harriet Beecher Stowe, Boy George, and the tangerine-tinted guy in the White House. Perfect for a CD release!

Multi-instrumentalist Barbara Higbie (Windham Hill), twisted piano comic Roxanna Ward (Olivia), David Lange (Pearl Django), David Koch (Cabaret de Paris), Quincy Koch (vocals), Jen Todd (Laura Love Duo), Mel Watson (Fruit), Glenn Lorbecki (Glenn Sound), Dan Mohler (bass), and Jason Edwards (drums).

Koch is best known for her work with loony Seattle sketch-comedy duo, Dos Fallopia (“Ham for the Holidays”), cult quartet Venus Envy (“I’ll Be A Homo For Xmas”), and Seattle cabaret (“The Carpeters: Uncomfortably Close To You”). She has been featured on Olivia and LOGO, is the composer of Off-Broadway musical “27, Rue de Fleurus”, and she actually had one of her songs sampled by Jay-Z.
