Daydream State, the producing company who also own Neumos, Comet Tavern, Lost Lake Cafe and Big Mario’s Pizza, have announced the lineup for this year’s Capitol Hill Block Pary happening July 21-23.

It’s the yearly music festival we jokingly (and with great love) like to call “Seattle’s Straight Pride Party” since it takes place on Capitol Hill and about 3 weeks after the city’s LGBTQ+ Pride events. It’s also the traditional weekend for most of Seattle’s LGBTQ+ population to AVOID Capitol Hill and instead, take a lovely trip out of town, or to go camping or the beach.

It’s a big year for Block Party…it’s their 25th year. So, buy them something nice and silvery.

There’s a whopping 9 stages for 2023…sadly, we’re not that aware about any of the announced names since none of them are divas or disco stars so beloved of gay audiences but we do like Sofi Tukker!

Daydream State also recently announced the lineup for DAY IN • DAY OUT 2023, featuring Bon Iver, Leon Bridges, Dominic Fike, WILLOW, Enumclaw, and more! Read about that lineup at https://www.dayindayoutfest.com/

DAYDREAM STATE ANNOUNCES CAPITOL HILL BLOCK PARTY 2023 FESTIVAL LINEUP

Iconic 3-Day Seattle Music and Arts Festival Celebrates Its 25th Year With 9 Stages

SEATTLE, February 28, 2023 – Today, Daydream State announced the lineup of performers for its 25th annual Capitol Hill Block Party (CHBP) music and arts festival scheduled for July 21-23 in the heart of Capitol Hill in the Pike/Pine corridor. Headliners include electronic music group Louis The Child, New York City-based Grammy Award-nominated electronic duo Sofi Tukker, Florida rapper Denzel Curry, British singer PinkPantheress, and PNW-based music icon Goth Babe. Three-day general admission and VIP passes will be available for presale beginning Tuesday, February 28 at 9 a.m. PT with a public on-sale beginning on Friday, March 3 at 9 a.m. PT.

“For 25 years, Capitol Hill Block Party has brought people together with music, art and community in the heart of Seattle,” said Kate Harris, Sponsorship Director & Associate Producer. “What began as a one-day event with just five bands and a couple of DJs in 1997 has grown into three-days with over 100 performers and thousands of attendees. We’re excited to celebrate this 25 year milestone and cannot wait to celebrate with everyone this year,” Harris said.

Capitol Hill Block Party aims to produce the 9-stage format from 2022, including Main Stage, Vera Stage, Neumos, Barboza, Cha Cha, Cafe Racer, Wild Rose, Havana, and Chophouse Row. Additionally, similar to previous years, there will be free community events and activities throughout the neighborhood.

Joining a strong lineup of national artists are a host of Northwest bands providing an opportunity for local and regional acts to gain exposure alongside nationally and globally recognized headliners; L.A.-based indie rock band Momma, Seattle-based indie pop songwriter Sea Lemon, local Seattle DJ Samurai Del, and Sammamish-based electronic musician Surf Mesa. More details will be available as the festival approaches.

In addition to Capitol Hill Block Party, Daydream State owns and manages several Seattle businesses, including Lost Lake Cafe, Comet Tavern, Neumos, among others. Last month, Daydream State announced the festival lineup for DAY IN • DAY OUT 2023.

Please visit the Capitol Hill Block Party website (www.capitolhillblockparty.com) for ticket pricing and programming information. Follow the event on Facebook (Capitol Hill Block Party), Instagram (@capitolhillblockparty) and Twitter (@CHBlockParty) to keep up with festival updates.
