Trans Pride Is Friday! Bring Your Masks!

June 26, 2025• byMichael Strangeways

Seattle’s annual Trans Pride, produced by the Gender Justice League, is back for 2025, at Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill! It’s a free, all ages event with performances, booths, etc and it’s happening Friday, June 27th from 5pm to 10pm. AND, they do require masks to keep everyone safe from communicable diseases!

More:

Trans Pride Seattle is a free annual festival celebrating Trans life and community across the Pacific Northwest and beyond! A love letter to Trans people everywhere, TPS increases the strength of the TwoSpirit, Trans, & Gender Diverse (2STGD) community and our allies through increased visibility, connection, love, and the celebration of our lives.

Everyone who supports + affirms Trans life is invited to enjoy our stage show featuring a lineup of all-Trans talent and our tabling fair featuring 100+ Trans-led and affirming orgs, community groups, artists, and services; and to find and bask in community among the thousands of attendees who gather to celebrate, to resist, and to show that Trans people aren’t going anywhere.

Produced by Gender Justice League in collaboration with many incredible volunteers, sponsors, and community donors who help make this event possible every year since 2013!

Now in our twelfth year, Trans Pride Seattle stands as a radiant testament, honoring and carrying the torch of our Transcestors who originated Pride as a means of both resistance and cultural communion.

We gather here in celebration of Trans life. To be Trans is to be powerful. In each of us is the power that comes from dreaming, from forging new paths, from becoming. We are not bound by the limitations of what is, but illuminated by the infinite possibilities of what we can create. What profound gifts we bring to this world.

Our celebration is survival and our survival is celebration. We gather here in vibrant defiance of the violence, dehumanization, and political attacks on our lives. We gather because we dare to imagine—and demand—a world where all people can live truly, safely, and freely.

Trans Pride is not just a festival. It is a declaration:

We are divine.

We are powerful.

We are the past, the present, and the future.

We are unstoppable.

There’s also an UNOFFICIAL Trans Pride After Party event happening at Belltown Yacht Club, 2320 1st Avenue, from 10pm to 12am. 21+ w/ID! Get tickets at https://leftovers.ticketbud.com/unofficial-trans-pride-afterparty-

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
