Well, that’s what Mama Tits/Busty McGee announced on our podcast earlier this week…Miss Thang might be right. There are a lot of events happening this Thursday, October 13, 2011 starting off with Mama’s new hosted nightclub event, “ElektroPOP at The Baltic Room” the hottest thing to hit town since jeggings. There’s never a cover; DJ’s Skiddle and PBear are behind the turntable (well, nowadays, computer) and there will be GoGo Boys, Giveaways and Special Guests, (we heard from the Mama’s mouth that a big guest will be announced this week for a future “ElektroPOP”…could it be yet another “Drag Race” Superstar? [Cough, Cough…Morgan McMichaels…Cough, Cough])
Meanwhile, over at Chop Suey and not specifically a gay event but certainly of interest to many LGBTQ folk, will be “BLACKIE (Blondie Tribute)” featuring The Pytons / DJ Cherry Canoe starting at 9pm and the cover charge is only $8 if you buy your tickets in advance. Who doesn’t love Miss Debbie Harry and her seminal pop group? You’d have to have a “Heart of Glass” not to adore them…
DJ Skiddle is busy that night…in addition to “ElektroPOP” he’s also werkin’ the “Ballet Meets Runway” event happening from 7pm to 11pm at Sole Repair Shop (that venue behind Quinn’s and across from Neumos). It’s a benefit party for Pacific Northwest Ballet with sexy ballet dancers modeling some sexy fashions from The Finerie. Tickets are only $20 and you can get them HERE!
Finally, it’s the Return of the Anita Goodman Experience at the Jewelbox Theater at the Rendezvous in Belltown. Join the drag star/cabaret queen/comedienne with her special guests Cassie O’Hara, Gary Gloryhole, Brendan Mack, Kaleb Hagen-Kerr, Renten, Brandi the Prize Girl and burlesque by Babette La Fave of The Atomic Bombshells. Doors open at 8:15pm/show at 8:30pm and it’s a $10 cover.
Options…or you can stay home and watch shitty tv shows.
