AND, remember you MUST show up in a RED dress! That’s the whole point of the night…EVERYONE wears a red dress to show solidarity for the fight to beat HIV/AIDS! That means you DON’T wear pants or shorts! A red SKIRT is ok, (with a red top, naturally) and it’s ok to have a TINY bit of another color if you’re wearing a print fabric but that means wearing a RED plaid (with black as part of the plaid) or RED polka dots (contrasting with black or white background) etc. There’s no “RED Rule” but a Red Dress would indicate that RED is the dominant color.
(Pink is not red. Orange is not red. Maroon…not really red/red but no one is gonna throw you out…)
Please note you do not have to wear Red shoes or accessories…though fashion savvy folks will want to coordinate, of course!
AND, this doesn’t mean you have to do “drag”. “Femme” make-up, wigs, high heels, purses, etc, are NOT a requirement to attend Red Dress Party!
Now, go out there and find the most awesome RED DRESS that you can find!
