It’s Still Around! Open Enrollment For Obamacare Starts Nov 1

October 26, 2017• byMichael Strangeways

OpenEnroll17

Yes, the Trump Regime is committed to killing Obamacare/the Affordable Care Act but it’s STILL AROUND and Open Enrollment is still happening from November 1, 2017 to January 15, 2018! If you need insurance, get ready to enroll starting next Wednesday!

Also remember that if you’re low income with a yearly income less than $16,644 for an individual (or $22,416 for a married couple) you can apply for Washington Apple Health (Medicaid) and may enroll at any time.

Gay City is getting the word out about Open Enrollment…if you need assistance with enrollment, then contact them!

More info via Gay City:

Open Enrollment Begins November 1st!

November 1 – January 15, 2018

You might have heard that Trump cut federal open health insurance enrollment short – that’s true for states that rely on the federal exchange, but Washington has our own exchange and our open enrollment goes from November 1st until January 15, 2018.

That’s no reason to procrastinate – current plans expire at the end of the year, so get your renewal now!

You can find more information on how to enroll at endaidswashington.org/getinsured or wahealthplanfinder.org. Or, if you have questions or need help navigating insurance enrollment, Gay City can also assist you — reach out to us at info@gaycity.org!

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
