LGBTQ candidates won big in the 2018 election cycle…Victory Fund is endorsing new LGBTQ candidates for the 2019 cycle and of course donations to those candidates are vital to get them to victory.
The poo via Victory Fund:
We’ve just endorsed 18 more candidates for the 2019 cycle, folks, in addition to the 12 we endorsed last month! That means there are 30 brand new LGBTQ candidates that need your help! >>
Some of them are running for the very first time, working incredibly hard to become the FIRST openly LGTBQ candidate elected to their position. Like our new Spotlight candidate Jane Castor, who’s running to become the first openly LGBTQ big city mayor in the Southeast, and Ella Coffee for Tampa City Council, District 5. Ella’s fighting to become the first openly LGBTQ person elected to the Tampa City Council.
We’re also incredibly proud to support Sebastian Rey as he fights to be the first openly trans person elected in Louisiana! Sebastian would not only be the first openly trans person elected in Louisiana, but the only openly LGBTQ elected official in the state.
Some of our newly endorsed incumbent candidates are running to maintain LGBTQ representation, like Omar Narvaez and Candida Affa. Elected to the City Council in 2017, Omar has kept busy fighting for living wages for Dallas’s working families and is the President of the Stonewall Democrats of Dallas. Candida introduced and passed legislation to ban conversion therapy.
No matter if this is their first reelection fight or they’re a veteran campaigner, we’ve got to make sure we have their backs. Donate now to support all of our awesome new candidates! >>
Thanks again for your support!
