RPDR Announces Season 11 Cast

January 24, 2019• byMichael Strangeways

I think our readership can safely be divided up into three main demographics:

  • People who adore RuPaul’s Drag Race, which just announced the cast for its 11th season to begin airing….soon on VH1. And, they’ve probably always adored it. Or, at least since it became a mainstream Emmy Award winning hit/pop culture thing.
  • People who have absolutely no interest in RuPaul’s Drag Race and never did…ranging from “I just don’t care for drag” to “Meh” to “Gawd, I hate that shit!”
  • People who very much enjoyed the first few seasons of RPDR but have since grown….let’s say “detached” from the experience of caring about the long running show. It was fun, for a time, but like many reality-esque, competitive television programs, it’s run its course for some people as the show starts the inevitable tendency to repeat itself.

Over and over and over.

So, some of us are definitely in the “Oh, god…is is STILL on?” Camp while realizing there are still many who do passionately care about the cast for Season 11.

Check out the video…solely based on photos we like Silky Nutmeg Ganache (also that ridiculous name that sounds like it came from a Drag Queen Name Generator) and Soju.

Oh, and that Vanjie person is back…

The full line-up.

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
