Des Moines WA/Tell The Library: No More Drag Queens!

NOTE: This is anti-drag queen/anti-LGBTQ event being held in Des Moines, WA to protest a Drag Queen Story Time in the local library. We’re bringing this to your attention in case you’re interested in counter protesting it!

The library is planning to host Cookie Couture, a Seattle drag queen, for a preschool story hour on June 17. Cookie is an adult performer and his performances are definitely not kid friendly.

We maintain that children should not be sexualized, exposed to adult entertainment or adult performers, and that drag queens are not appropriate role models for young children.

Please join us in letting the library know that we don’t support drag queen story hour. Come stand with us and be counted. For your privacy, you don’t need to sign up or click that you are coming. You can just show up. 🙂
