“Life is such a Drag” has now become “News is such a Drag!” on episode five of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season Three. Despite of the ‘contact sport’ swift move and departure of Mimi Imfurst from last week, the ride is only just beginning. We get started to the queens in the mini challenge where they need to create a quick drag look for a red carpet paparazzi photo snag. The two winners ended up as Carmen Carerra and Stacy Layne Matthews. Personally I enjoyed what Shangela brought to the camera, but who’s asking me? Now Carmen and Stacy made up two different teams for the queens to produce the Queer News Network. So the question is who’s gonna fu#$ it up?
During the live taping of the Queer News Network on the Stacy team, I felt like the best personality was brought to the table by Yara and Shangela. While on the Carmen team, the best talent was Manila Luzon (Raja and Delta could have delivered a bit more fun to the taping).
For the main stage, the queens needed to present their fiercest fashion for the stage. Out of all the queens on the runway, I thought that the top three fiercest queens with fashion and personality were Yara Sofia, Raja Gemini, and Shangela. Who were your top three on the runway last night?
The bottom line is that there is a winner for the main stage challenge and two queens get sent to the bottom two for elimination. Manila Luzon was announced the winner of this episode’s main stage challenge, leaving Stacy Layne Matthews and Indiah Ferrah in the bottom two to Lip Sync for their Life. It was a close call for these two queens but RuPaul had to make a decision, nonetheless, and sent Indiah Ferrah home and saving Stacy Layne Matthews to see if she can front her true personality to the judges and the queens in this competition.
