Lady Gaga Set to Receive the “Always Next, Forever Now” New, Now Next Award 2011

March 28, 2011• bySeattle Gay Scene

Logo announced this morning that Lady Gaga will be honored with the “Always Next, Forever Now” Award at the “NewNowNext Awards” 2011. Lady Gaga is an award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist who is provocative, and dynamic and a HUGE friend to the LGBTQ community. This award is given annually and pays homage to a beloved pop icon. Past award recipients include Britney Spears, Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul. Lady Gaga is no “ordinary” pop star, but rather a force of creative energy and her ground breaking live performances, outspoken nature and utter devotion to her art have afforded her a rabid fan base from around the globe. Due to her tour schedule, Lady Gaga will accept the award remotely via satellite in front of a live audience at the show’s taping at the Avalon in Hollywood on April 7th.

We knew the moment Lady Gaga made her inaugural television appearance on our first ‘NewNowNext Awards’ back in 2008, she was destined for big things. In three short years, her ferocious talent and unending activism have earned her ‘icon’ status for millions of ‘little monsters’ and Logo viewers.  All throughout her whirlwind rise, she’s remained a friend to Logo and we’re honored to have her back on the show.  Simply put, she rocks our world.

Dave Mace, Logo’s Senior Vice President of Original Programming.
