Untucked with Brian: RuPaul’s Hair Extravanganza, where we say good bye to a certain “Real” queen and RuPaul reveals a TWIST!

March 29, 2011• bySeattle Gay Scene

La Cage Aux Folles - eat your heart out!

There is hair everywhere and the girly-boys are going out of their heads, especially Yara Sofia. The pulsating stress coming from Raja’s temple and neck are like rays of radiation spurting throughout the work room and perhaps is is the cause of Yara’s delusions and insanity. (Editor’s Note: I think Yara is game playing…driving the queens mad by being annoying…) RuPaul even begins to act like an alien from outer space at the end of the episode with her tantalizing announcement of bringing back an eliminated queen to the race, sending the current contestants gasping for hair. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, honey! First in the mini-challenge the girly-boys must make a head piece out of beach wear and these head pieces are from another jet stream. Raja’s headpiece wins the mini-challenge and this earns her a five second head start on picking out the wigs for the main stage challenge. And just like that, the girly-boys get under the pressure, over-stressed and crazy with hair in the work room.

Manila Luzon puts the ZZZ back in buzz-elicious

On the runway, everyone in my mind delivers hair extravanganza (yes, even Shangela) and I’m impressed with all the looks that the queens delivered. But the judges had a different take with their crititques for these queens – sending Shangela and Alexis is lip sync for their life in the bottom two. Alexis really let the words of Fantasia’s song flow through her veins, body and hair, while Shangela just didn’t work the piece as hard. Shangela went home and Alexis stays for one more week. But there’s more:

RuPaul announces that they will bring back an eliminated queen to the contestant. Who will this queen be? Shangela? Delta? Stacy? Carmen? Phoenix? Venus? Mimi? India? You can cast your vote here on Seattle Gay Scene in the comments section below and let’s find out who is a winn-UH!

Editor’s Note: Gee, our Shangela interview, that we ran Monday, sure was prescient, wasn’t it? (Or, was it a curse on the House of Wadley?) AND, you can read ALL of our Season Three coverage HERE, including interviews with ALL 13 Season Three contestants! As for the announcement that an eliminated contestant is coming back, we saw on the Interwebs a rumor that it could be Stacy Layne Matthews…she was sweet, but we’re not sure she deserves to be brought back. Strangeways is just hoping it’s not Carmen…we were SO tired of her farting, naked, BORING ass and constant talk of her husband’s big package. NEXT!
