This morning, LOGO-TV, send out a greenlight for shows that are returning this summer and for 2012. Among the many or the few include another season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and Untucked: RuPaul’s Drag Race.
“Another season with 14 episodes. May the best woman win!”
Joining this fabulous and delicate drag queen are the boys from The A-List:New York and Be Good Johnny Weir. What about 1 Girl, 5 Gays…? I guess they didn’t make the cut! Sad Snap!
Joining the LOGO crew for 2012 is a new A-List crowd
“You don’t have to live in New York City to enjoy the riches and the drama between a delectable group of high class gay men”
The A-List: Dallas is promising and will give a new name for Texas and the southern states of America! Who is going to be the new Austin? TJ? Ryan? Mike Ruiz? There is also a new showing coming to our tubes about hard ball sex addiction, titled Sex Rx:
Noted sex addiction specialist, Christopher Donaghue, offers guidance to a sex treatment group in this series that tracks each member’s progress around infidelity, trust issues, relationship intimacy and sexual addiction.
Each week, the cameras break away from the group and provide a deeper examination into the treatment process for one group member. While the clients come from all walks of life and attend the group for a multitude of presenting symptoms such as depression, self-destructive behavior and relationship issues, sexual dysfunction and sexuality issues are at the root of every case.
Christopher Donaghue is a Sexuality Specialist in private practice. Christopher has extensive clinical experience working with adults in individual and group psychotherapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings and is the former Program Director at La Ventana Rehab’s Sexual Addiction Program. His clinical specializations include the sexuality spectrum and addictive behaviors such as sexual compulsivity/sex addiction and substance abuse, as well as mood and relational intimacy disorders.
Tune in for another season of juicy, prime-time adultery, debauchery and glam!
Editor’s Note: Interesting that “Drag Race” is doing 14 episodes next season compared to this season’s 16 episodes. We’re guessing there won’t be “NO ONE is going home this week” and “We’re bringing someone back!” episodes next year…
And, there was no announcement about The A List: Los Angeles despite the fact there have been casting calls for that spin-off with every queen in LaLa Land desperate to board that train wreck.
Oh, and The NewNowNext Awards will be coming back next year as well…hopefully with better categories.
Still no scripted original series coming from Logo…Yes, we understand that a scripted narrative show costs a lot more money than a reality series, but c’mon….viewers like a little variety. The team behind the cult movie hit Girls Will Be Girls (FYI: A sequel is in the works!) tried to pitch a series about the characters a while back but were scorned by Logo because they thought drag was demeaning to the gay community and not of general interest to the LGBTQ viewing audience. That was BEFORE the huge success of “Drag Race”. What’s your excuse now, Logo?
