Legendary drag performer Darcelle was arrested Thursday night after getting into a tussle with Oregon Liquor Control Commission officers in her nightclub “Darcelle XV”, her nightclub in the Old Town section of Portland Oregon. The 80 year old legend, was performing on stage when she noticed a number of men rushing into the club and thinking a fight was starting, she charged in to break things up and ended up shoving one of the officers. Once order was restored, Darcelle, aka Walter Cole, apologized to the officers, finished her number, and was later arrested and charged with harassment.
Those charges were dropped today, but the OLCC will fine the club for serving under-aged patrons.
Darcelle is amazing. Eighty years old and still going strong and looking great.
