Philanthro is a national non-profit volunteer organization with a chapter in Seattle dedicated to encouraging young professionals “to connect with charitable causes through social, volunteer, and leadership activities.” Their most recent project is an art show happening this Wednesday, August 31 at the Vermillion Gallery/Bar at 1508 11th Avenue on Capitol Hill starting at 8pm. The theme for the show: Celebrating the accomplishments of Lifelong AIDS Alliance with an art show incorporating the theme of AIDS awareness. In addition, the artists were asked to include the color Red, symbolizing the AIDS ribbon, and to help complete the theme:
Conquering the Past; Embracing the Present; ___________ the Future.
Artists donated their work and 100% of proceeds from a silent auctions of the pieces will go towards Lifelong AIDS Alliance. AND, the event is free to attend and will also include live performances.
