Vicky Vox, Detox and Willam Belli need to "Chow Down"....
TV/Film star and RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 4 star Willam Belli just released a new video today…it’s a delightful tongue in cheek parody of Wilson Phillips “Hold On” and a satirical homage to the controversial Chick-fil-A restaurant chain. We don’t seem to have them in the Pacific NW, but Chick-fil-A is a growing fast food chain that has stirred controversy for its Christian based rhetoric and donations to anti-gay causes. (Some people love their chicken; Mr. Strangeways has sampled their wares and thinks it tastes like shit…but, he’s a big fan of Church’s if there’s one in the ‘hood.)
Chik-fil-A stirred up a lot of poo last year when they opened a branch in West Hollywood…they’ve been picketed numerous times and gay rights groups want them GONE from that HomoHood.
Apparently, Mr. Belli’s love for tasty chicken products and waffle fries precludes the need to stamp out their Right Wing Christian Hogwash…well, that or he is clever enough to grab an opportunity to poke fun at Political Correctness and showcase his numerous talents. (Just don’t put any mayo on his sammitch…)
The video is pretty damn cute and also stars Los Angeles drag stars, Detox iCunt and Vicky Vox. And, these gals can SING!
We also find it interesting that Willam chose TODAY of all days to release this video…It’s Drag Race Monday with a new episode airing in a few hours and Willam is one of only six remaining contestants in the competition. Might this be clever timing on Mr. Belli’s part? We’ve heard that tonight’s episode will be shocking….we’ll see…
