Wednesday night’s annual Bartender Auction at Purr raised a BUTTLOAD of money for Rise n’ Shine, the non-profit helping kids deal with HIV/AIDS. The 5th annual event had Purr packed to the gills with folks eager to bid on the nubile charms of several area bartenders including R Place’s Cole Ryan and The Baltic Room’s Bill Gray.
Purr owner Barbie Humphrey had some thanks to give on her Facebook page today:
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU To ALL that came out tonight to support our Annual Bartender Auction. So far the total is over 11,000$$ for the kids of Rise and Shine!! They are still counting, so will post the final numbers as soon as I hear. Our Customers really chipped in as well as the overwhelming participation of our neighborhood bars and their bartenders. Huge Shout Out to My Kittens for baring ALL for the cause! I am so proud of All of you!! Thanks to Glamazonia Jolie-Pitt for Hosting, the Seattle Rockets for helping sell raffle tickets, to Under U 4 Men for donating the underwear, and Ajaxx for donating the shirts! and a Big Thank you to the Wonderful Bartenders of R-Place, Lobby, Madison Pub, and Baltic Room. Well done!!
We agree…though we’re bitter we couldn’t afford to buy a man. That was some expensive man meat!
