Purple Crush’s Banjee Ball Will Be Highlight of The Mix/Tacoma Pride’s Block Party

The SGS Street Meat Team is heading down to Tacoma on Saturday for Tacoma Pride festivities including the faaaaaabulous Tacoma Pride Block Party at The Mix happening from 5pm to 2am. It’s a 21+ dance party featuring food, drink, and live entertainment all hosted by our favorite trashy drag ho, Miz Honey Bucket.

The headliner for Tacoma Pride Block Party at The Mix are good friends of ours, the adorably talented duo PURPLE CRUSH who will perform their own dance music fun but are also bringing up their hella hi energy BANJEE BALL vogue/runway dance event that was a huge hit at Seattle PrideFest 2 years ago. Purple Crush’s frontwoman the delightful Isla Cheadle sent us some skinny about what’s in store for Saturday. Purple Crush is performing at the Block Party on Saturday in Tacoma. We are also throwing a Banjee Ball, and bringing along the vogue commentator for the West Coast Ballroom community, the Legendary Enyce Smith.

We have an EP/short dance film called the “Vogue Opera” we released this year, and we’ll be doing snippets of it at the Block Party. It also features the commentator, Enyce, and members of the Ballroom community.
