If you’re pining for some baseball and you like helping out a terrific LGBTQ community resource, there’s a great event happening this coming Saturday, March 9th.  T-Mobile and Seattle Sports Commission are hosting SEATTLE BASEBALL SHOWCASE, a college baseball tournament at T-Mobile Park™ (what used to be Safeco…) featuring premier teams from the Pac-12, Big 10, WCC and Sun Belt conferences. It’s a three day event but the Saturday game at 7pm is the designated “Pride Night” game featuring the  University of Washington Husky Men’s Baseball team take on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.

Pride Night attendees are requested to help support LAMBERT HOUSE, Seattle’s non-profit group that aids LGBTQ youth through a variety of programs. There will be a Lambert House table at the game in the Pride section where you can donate any of the requested items, such as formal/dressy/business attire good condition clothing (needed for job interviews) as well as grocery store gift cards and pizza restaurant gift cards.

The Seattle Sports Commission is hosting a college baseball tournament at T-Mobile Park™, featuring premier teams from the Pac-12, Big 10, WCC and Sun Belt conferences. This destination event kicks off the baseball season and puts the spotlight on amateur baseball.

The three-day, round robin tournament pairs West Coast schools with national collegiate teams, each playing one game per day. Games are scheduled for 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM, and 7:00 PM PST daily.

Saturday night is PRIDE NIGHT, benefiting the Lambert House. Watch our UW Husky Men’s Baseball take on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers at 7:00 PM in PRIDE Section 124.

Support your community by bringing a donation item for the Lambert House.

The Lambert House empowers LGBTQ youth through the development of leadership, social, and life skills. They are an affirming community where LGBTQ youth are the norm. Their programs help LGBTQ youth develop the self-esteem necessary to flourish in their schools, families, and communities. We will be collecting the below items to donate to the Lambert House:

  • Chest binders | new/good condition
  • Grocery store gift cards | Safeway/QFC requested
  • Pizza restaurant gift cards | Pagliacci/Big Marios/Dominos requested

These items can be dropped off at the PRIDE NIGHT Table – As you enter from Home Plate Entrance (the only entrance) the table will be to the right on your way to PRIDE Section 124.
