Things are gettin’ DIRTY over at Seattle International Film Festival’s Film Center at Seattle Center this Saturday, February 4th at 9:30pm…that’s SIFF’s one and only screening time for the provocative documentary film Raw! Uncut! Video! that’s all about Palm Drive Video, an indie homemade gay porn company very popular in kink loving circles.
Palm Drive Video was the passion project of Jack Fritscher and Mark Hemry who met in 1979 at a Harvey Milk Birthday Party in San Francisco and fell in love. The pair eventually left the city as the AIDS epidemic began taking its toll on the lives of gay men but Fritscher and Hemry realized that gay men still had a need to explore their sexuality safely, so the pair created their own gay safe sex porn studio in the rural reaches of Sonoma County. But, the pair had no interest in creating “normal” gay porn…instead, they cast friends and “average joes” to make the kind of porn they wanted to see: kinky, raw and uncut.
Here’s a terrific opportunity for Seattle’s kink community to check out a documentary film ABOUT kinky sex! And, all from the comfort of SIFF Film Center at Seattle Center…which for those of you who haven’t been there, is in the northwest corner of Seattle Center, just north of Climate Pledge Arena and in the group of buildings that also house KEXP the radio station and The Vera Project.
