Collide-O-Scope Turns 16 And Gets A New Home!!

December 17, 2025• byMichael Strangeways

Collide-O-Scope, the “only fun thing to do on a Monday” has big news to announce! The popular long running night of crazy curated videos from host/producers Michael and Shane has delighted us since 2010 when it started at its original homebase at the much missed Re-bar, the demented art bar on Howell where EVERY FUN QUEER SHOW IN SEATTLE GOT ITS START before the bar died due to Covid. Collide-O-Scope has had to move around since then but found a nice home at the Here-After space at The Crocodile in Belltown. Sadly, The Croc announced this fall that economics are forcing them to shut down the Here-After space which resulted in the 15 year old Collide-O-Scope becoming a homeless teen, lost and alone on the mean streets of Seattle and facing a life more desperate and terrifying than Tiny’s as depicted in the seminal Seattle street doc, Streetwise!

Happily, Collide-O-Scope has been granted a new life as it turns 16 this January, 2026 with a new home, kind foster parents, warm pajamas, and a brand new driver’s license! (Plus, they’re now old enough to make out with!) Starting Monday, January 12th, Collide-O-Scope will take up residence at Beacon Hill’s fun Clock-Out Lounge, 4864 Beacon Ave South!!! Yay!!!!!!

Clock-Out Lounge Presents:

Collide-O-Scope 16th Anniversary
Doors 7pm, 21+, $15
www.collideoscopeseattle.com

For 16 years, Collide-O-Scope has been slaying Seattle audiences with its singular brand of entertainment keenly curated vintage video, freaky film, found-footage fun, all masterfully woven into hilariously mind-melting montages. An expertly crafted fantasia of sight and sound, packed with absurd pop culture ephemera, obscure oddities, and awesome music, all remixed and mashed into epic entertainment that only the editing wizards of Collide-O-Scope could provide. Perfect for stoners, drinkers, thinkers, and all seekers of the unusual. This hosted event also features fabulous free prize drawings throughout the night! For a decade, Collide-O-Scope had its home at Seattle’s beloved Re-bar, until 2020, when they took the show online while the world worked some stuff out. Re-emerging in 2022, they made The Here-After (at The Crocodile) their home for the next four years. Now, celebrating their 16th anniversary, Collide-O-Scope has landed right here at Clock-Out Lounge, and YOU can see them HERE every 2nd Monday!

“Collide-O-Scope is the greatest show anywhere!”

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
