This weekend, “The Studios” that interesting performing arts space on 5th Avenue in the old Times Square Building where Stewart and Olive collide, will host the latest installment in their “LAUNCH Project” which is their showcase for seasoned artists. Their previous LAUNCH performance series focused on Choreographers but this week’s series of performances will highlight cabaret performances by the city’s top actor/singer/dance artists.
The LAUNCH Project is a professional development and networking program for seasoned artists. The artists selected through the rigorous submission process are provided state of the art resources, professional training, and a platform to create, incubate, and produce their new works as independent artists. The Studios curates one of a kind showcases through this program bringing bar raising artists to the spotlight. Not only providing the artists a platform to build their following as independent artists but also as a showcase to industry professionals. Our Launch Artists and performers have been offered professional opportunities from industry leaders directly following these showcases. The LAUNCH Program began with our first Choreographers’ Showcase on May 31st , 2015 we are thrilled to announce that our 4th project in 12 months with take the stage in a 3 night series May 21st-23rd as our first LAUNCH Cabaret Showcase!

There are some familiar names in that line-up of talent including frequent 5th Avenue Theatre star Billie Wildrick and frequent co-star of Robbie Turner’s Revues at the Hard Rock Cafe, Tori Spero. And, choreographer/co-star of “Mimosas with Mama” star Tipsy Rose Lee will headline a 9 pm on Sunday night, May 22nd, featuring her solo performance of her Marilyn Monroe tribute show, BOMBSHELL. It’s her LIVE singing tribute to the legendary star featuring many of the songs made famous by Marilyn.
