Brown Derby is doing “Stand By Me” at Re-bar this week…

The zanies at Ian Bell’s Brown Derby Players have cooked up their latest travesty…keeping to the theme of movies based on Stephen King novels, this month’s installment is the beloved, coming of age story, Stand By Me directed by Rob Reiner and based on King’s novella, “The Body”. The film starred a quartet of up and coming young actors including Corey Feldman, Wil Wheaton, Jerry O’Connell and the late, lamented River Phoenix. Mr. Bell’s parody of the film stars a quartet of up and coming Seattle performers including Imogen Love (as Wil Wheaton), Scott Shoemaker (as Corey Feldman), Freddy Molitch (as Jerry O’Connell), Troy Fischnaller (as River Phoenix) and it’s all narrated by the awesome Ian Bell.

Stand By Me runs Thursday, May 19 through Saturday, May 21 at Re-bar. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm and tickets are $16 CASH ONLY at the door; no reserved seating.

We can’t wait for the infamous Pie Eating Scene…
