It’s A Very Special Podcast! Down Undah Edition!

October 21, 2011• byLes Sterling

The cast of OUTLAND - the brilliant new comedy TV show from Australia!

This week has been all about the Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, so we haven’t been in the studio at the same time to record a sit-down podcast! So, Michael gets out to the Pan Pacific Hotel to meet up with John Richards – the brilliant co-creator of OUTLAND – a brand new TV Show in Australia that’s centered around a group of gay geeks (Gayks! Thanks Chris Hardwick!) who are out of the queer closet, but still living in shame of their nerdly sensibilities. John introduces us to his podcast, called Boxcutters, and you should definitely check out his website where he dissects the contents of the Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival swag bag – hilarious!

As in all manner of nerddom, the conversation runs the gamut from the relative virtues of Doctor Who, the unsuccessful Americanization of Kath ‘n Kim, and of course, Star Trek – which piques the interest of Festival publicist and famed Trekkie Gail Benzler who gets to chime in here and there.
