All The News You Need To Know: Monday Edition

October 15, 2012• bySeattle Gay Scene

Zeb turns 42 today!!!!

Q might be growing veggies on their roof…that’s funny, I heard they wanted to put a Go Go Boy Academy up there. Regardless, some kind of root could be blossoming up there…

Seattle P-I blogger Joe Mirabella asks: Are local television stations legally required to broadcast misleading ads from anti-gay groups? And, the answer is apparently, NO! Contact your local tv station and make your voice heard…

Tony Award winning musical “Memphis” has deep Seattle roots; it was originally produced at the 5th Avenue Theatre. It’s now apparently on track to be a MOVIE! That’s great, but we’re still waiting for the movie versions of “Avenue Q” and “Into the Woods”…

Everyone’s favorite Scream Queen: Big Knockers Division, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, is coming to Seattle’s Champion Party Supply Store on Denny Way on Tuesday, October 16th. Hopefully, many of our local drag queens will go to get some badly needed tips on make-up and cleavage enhancement…I keed, I keed!

Tonight, Monday October 15th, beloved local actress Heather Hughes will be honored with a special memorial service/party/tribute to her life at Neumos. Even if you didn’t know Heather, you should turn up anyway…she would have liked it that way. A toast to Heather Hughes.

Yes, the 17th Annual Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival is in full swing…today’s screenings include the sequel, “Yossi” at the Egyptian and “The Lesbian Code” at Northwest Film Forum, both at 7:15pm. Check out the entire line-up over HERE!

Finally, let us wish a Happy Birfday to porn star Zeb Atlas, (link NSFW!!!) “The Wire’s” McNulty, actor Dominic West and Übermensch Philosopher/Probable Homosexual Friedrich Nietzsche, who turns 168 years young today! Salutations, Boys!
