So Many Seattle Winners: Congrats Trenton, Isabella and Josué!

It was a weekend of winners for so many Seattle folk…

One of our many beloved Seattle erotic film performers, Trenton Ducati, won Gay Performer of the Year at the XBiz Awards in Los Angeles this weekend. It takes a lot of HARD work to earn recognition like that so kudos to Mr. Ducati for going the extra inch, (or eight) and taking home the prize. We’re convinced that Mr. Ducati’s versatility, stamina and ability to rise to the top (or bottom) of any challenge, won him this award.

Meanwhile, back in Seattle and at an event that included more drag queens and far fewer porn stars, a new Mr. and Miss Gay Seattle were crowned at Neighbours on Saturday night. The reigning royalty, DonnaTella Howe and Alexander Mentele stepped down, and two new community members were ushered into the ranks of Gaylebrity-Seattle Chapter. (We place no faith in the vicious rumors that they had to pry the crown from DonnaTella’s hands or subdue her with horse tranquilizers…)

Isabella Javier Contreras and Josué Henriquez are our new Miss and Mr. Gay Seattle for 2013 and their Reign of Terror begins immediately so memorize their faces so you know who you need to curtsy to and curry favor with. The plus side: we can go back to treating DonnaTella and Alexander as mere mortals and ignoring their emails, text messages and phone calls just like we used to do before they became Big Shots.

Frankly, we don’t know much about Isabella or Josué (which is pronounced “Ho-Sway” for those of you who never took high school Spanish or visited the southwestern United States) but we can’t wait to find out what they have planned for their year of service to the community. We hope it involves plenty of festive fundraisers and copious opportunities to drink liquor in the gay disco or community park of our choice.
