Wow…does Seattle really need ANOTHER film festival?

Does Seattle need ANOTHER film festival that happens in May?

And, does Seattle really need yet another event for Fan Boyz and Fan Gurlz?

The answer is, apparently: Yes, to all three.

The 2nd annual Seattle Sci-Fi Film Festival begins TODAY, Thursday, May 1 at the Cinerama with a very special screening of the camp sci-fi classic, FLASH GORDON happening at 8 pm tonight with the star of the movie, Sam J. Jones in attendance for a Q&A. Mr. Jones is also famous for his NUDE photo shoot for Playgirl “back in the day”…. If you’d like to experience those sordid photos and the discovery that Mr. Jones is NOT a natural blonde, click HERE! (Obviously NSFW…unless you work someplace very liberal…)

FLASH! AH HAH! SAVIOR OF THE UNIVERSE!!!!

Any film that hires QUEEN to do the soundtrack is automatically AWESOME!

The festival continues through May 12 with just about every awesome Sci-Fi film ever made including Logan’s Run, Back to the Future, Tron, The Matrix, Brazil, Dune, Planet of the Apes, and E.T. to name a few. Plus, there are more special guest stars including local Seattle resident, TOM SKERRITT doing a Q&A after a screening of Alien and SFX wiz Douglas Trumbull here for appearances at screenings of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and 2001: A Space Odyssey.

All screenings are at the Cinerama.

Go here for TICKETS!

May the Force Live Long and Prosper with you, Dave….
