The Rumor Mill has been on FIRE since last night over a Vague Post from Jennifer Dietrich, the co-owner and founder of indie local skincare/cosmetics company, Atomic Cosmetics / Xerion Skin Science at 617 East Pike Street. The sexy scientist who grew the business from nothing to cult status largely by marketing to burlesque performers, drag queens and their fans posted the following enigmatic message Monday, October 13 at 10:20:

“RIP ATOMIC. I loved you more than anything in the world.”

The message was later removed but the damage was done…rumors began spreading that the business was closing with many Capitol Hill fans upset over the news.

Dietrich confirmed the rumors via Facebook this afternoon but vowed to fight for the survival of her company and released this message:

The publicity hungry Dietrich has earned both fans (and ex-fans) for her outspoken posts on social media which has included public attacks on people who disagree with her via Facebook. It’s assumed there will be a lot more revealed on this story in the days and weeks ahead.

Now to track down Dr. Jen’s hubby and business partner for a comment on this situation…

Stay tuned for the Escandalo!
